Nice run of hay for today’s sale. Quality was a little better than before. Market for alfalfa of the same quality was off by about $10. Grass- the market was steady to weaker. Bedding was steady. Not a large buyer crowd as buyers are still busy in the fields silaging.

I described a typical day. “Well, yesterday afternoon, I took a 5 hour walk about 7 miles through some pretty rough terrain. I waded along the edge of a lake. I pushed my way through brambles. I got sand in my shoes and my eyes. I avoided standing on a snake. I climbed several rocky hills. I took a few “leaks” behind some big trees. The mental stress of it all left me shattered. At the end of it all, I drank eight beers.” Inspired by the story, the doctor said, “Wow, you must be one heck of an outdoorsman!” “No,” I replied, “I’m just a really shitty golfer.”

She hugged the man and through tears she said, “Thank you, God, for sending me such a nice man.” The man heard her and replied, “Ma’am, I am NOT a nice man. I just got out of prison yesterday. I was in prison for car theft.” The woman hugged the man again and sobbing said, “Oh, thank you God! You even sent me a professional!”
