Alfalfa was of better quality today, and the $ reflected accordingly. Grass sold mostly steady. Quality was a little better. Some sold stronger. Straw square- 1 load new the rest were old. Straw rounds-all new.  Cornstalks are starting to show their age.

I was walking home late last night and I decided to take a shortcut through the cemetery. Three girls walked up and explained to me that they were scared to walk past the cemetery at night, so I agreed to let them walk along with me. I told them, *I understand. I was going to bed the other night when I noticed some people in my shed stealing things. I called the police but was told no one was in the area to help. They said they would be over as soon as possible. I hung up.  A minute later I called again. *Hello,* I said, *I called you a minute ago because there were people in my shed. You don*t have to hurry now because I*ve shot them. They aren*t going anywhere.*

Within minutes there were half a dozen police cars in the area plus helicopters and an armed response unit. They caught the burglars red-handed. One of the officers said: *I thought you said you shot them?* To which I replied: *I thought you said there were no available units in the area?*

Last Sat. a.m. Dick got up early, quietly dressed, made his lunch & slipped into the garage.  He hooked up his pickup & boat & proceeded to back out into a torrential down-pour. Wind was blowing 50 mph, so he pulled everything back into the garage, turned on the radio & discovered the weather would be bad all day.   So he went back into the house, quietly undressed &  slipped back into bed.  He cuddled up to his wife*s back expectantly, & whispered, *The weather out there is terrible.*  His loving wife of 5 years replied, *And can you believe my stupid husband is out fishing in that?*   That*s when the fight started.
