Alfalfa sold steady to a little weaker on lower quality. Quality was generally pretty good. Grass sold a little stronger and buyer interest was good. There was not really enough straw for a good test. The load of cornstalks was new. DON’T FORGET: Monday sales will be starting again in November!! Grass continued to sell weak as not many calves are coming into the yards yet. Overall hay quality today was average at best with many loads of poor grass and some prevent planted hay. We had a good crowd in for our rainy sale today. Alfalfa sold steady to strong with decent quality. Grass quality was decent and sold steady to strong, but still lacking a bit. Straw sold steady.
