Market was called steady to strong today. We had lots of buyer interest. Quality varied today. We had quite a bit of good alfalfa in, and grass quality was lacking.

** I was walking with my 5 year old daughter. She picked something up off the ground and started to put it in her mouth. I took the thing away from her and asked her not to do that. “Why?” she asked. “Because it’s been on the ground, and you don’t know where it’s been. It’s dirty. And it probably has germs.” At this point, my daughter looked at me with absolute admiration and asked, “Mom, how do you know all this stuff? You are so smart.” I thought quickly and replied, “All moms know this stuff. It’s on the Mom Test. You have to know it, or they don’t let you be a Mom.” We walked along in silence for two or three minutes, but she was evidently pondering this new information.
“Oh, I get it!” she beamed, “So if you don’t pass the test, you have to be the dad!” “Exactly,” I said.

** Three women, two younger and one senior citizen, were sitting naked in a sauna. Suddenly there was a beeping sound. The young woman pressed her forearm and the beep stopped. The others looked at her questioningly. “That was my pager,” she said. “I have a microchip under the skin of my arm.”

A few minutes later, a phone rang. The second young woman lifted her palm to her ear. When she finished, she explained, “That was my mobile phone. I have a microchip in my hand.”

The older woman felt very low-tech. Not to be out done, she decided she had to do something just as impressive. She stepped out of the sauna and went to the bathroom. She returned with a piece of toilet paper hanging from her rear end. The others raised their eyebrows and stared at her.

The older woman finally said……..”Well, would you look at that…. I’m getting a fax!”

** Don’t forget to turn your bathroom scales back 15 pounds Wednesday night at 1 A.M. for Thanksgiving.
**A cowboy told his grandson the secret to a long life. He said, “You gotta sprinkle a little gunpowder on your oatmeal, see. If you do, you’ll live to a nice ripe old age.” So the cowboy did this religiously every day and sure enough, lived to the nice ripe old age of 96. When he died he left behind 4 children, 8 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren… and a 16 foot hole in the wall of the crematorium.
