Buyer attendance was a little thin today as many people are trying to harvest. Demand for good alfalfa is strong and demand for average to poor alfalfa is steady. Grass continued to sell weak as not many calves are coming into the yards yet. Overall hay quality today was average at best with many loads of poor grass and some prevent planted hay. Straw sold about steady with lacking quality. DON’T FORGET: Monday sales will be starting again in November!! ATTENTION ALL HAY HAULERS: Beginning Sept 5^th, the road through Hudson will be closed and you will not be able to get through that way. It will remain closed for the month of September.
